You can help us continue our 20+ years of lifesaving work in West Virginia by supporting our mission!
Your donation provides the gift of a second chance to pets in Fayette county and across WV.
New River Animal Rescue (NRAR), has been serving the pets of West Virginia and Fayette county for over 20 years. We provide support to our community and their pets through low-cost spay/neuter, re-homing, and adoption services. In 2023 alone, we were able to rescue over 1,600 pets and give them a second chance at a wonderful life.
If you would like to assist us in our mission to combat the overpopulation crisis in our area, please consider donating. Your donations provide the gift of a second chance to a pet in need and help us keep our doors open. Your gift provides countless animals (and families!) with the resources they need. Just this week, we have moved and found rescue for ❗️77❗️cats from our community. We are SO lucky and grateful to save so many lives, but we can't do it without you!
We spend at least $32 on every dog and cat that comes through our doors, including their vaccines, de-wormer, and flea & tick meds. If we spay/neuter an animal, that adds another $50-100.
So, this week alone, we have spent nearly $3,200 on medications to get our community's pets safe and into rescue, and that doesn't even include what we spend on animals that come into our care sick or injured. 😔
Our wait list can be 100 or more pets long, and we receive new requests every day. We do everything we do in service of the pets and families of our community. Please consider donating to help us continue saving pets in West Virginia. 💚
If each of our supporters donated only $5, our expenses would be covered for nearly a year.
Please consider donating in honor of the pets of our county. It would mean the world to us and them!
